Today we released three items:
- Chapter 2: probability.
- Chapter 1 end of chapter exercises.
- Chapter 1, expanded and revised.
In Chapter 2, we offer an example based approach to probability. Each section opens with a few examples to lay out the intuition. As each section proceeds, we transition into formal probability rules and generalizations.
A variety of problems are provided for Chapter 1. These offer an important supplement for students to formally verify their comprehension, and it also provides a problem set for homework assignments.
Chapter 1 was revised and extended. Important revisions include an expanded discussion of standard deviation and better explanation of mosaic plots. This chapter was also expanded to include section 1.6, which introduces inference using randomization.
